People are Doreen's passion and she feels lucky enough that her career is focused around all things people - after all, people are the most important part of any organisation! Over the course of her career, Doreen has worked in all areas of HR and one of her favourite aspects is influencing and improving an employees lifecycle which in turn attributes to a positive working environment and culture. For her, one of the most important roles of a HR professional is focusing on an employees health and wellbeing, particularly in this day and age of a virtual working environment and all the challenges that come with navigating through a pandemic. Having spent a significant amount of her career in Canada, she was fortunate enough to be part of a dynamic and innovative team that led the charge on building a positive workplace culture and experiencing first hand what that looks like and how it feels from an employee perspective. Having recently moved back to Ireland, Doreen is looking forward to contributing to an organisation that continuously strives to make their company a great place to work for everyone and puts their employees first. On a personal front, Doreen takes immense pride in everything she does and has been lucky enough to have worked with some strong and inspiring women in her past. Oprah once said 'surround yourself only with people who are going to lift you higher' and that is a quote that Doreen likes to live by. Doreen has worked on teams led by strong and empowering women who have encouraged her to challenge herself and put her best foot forward and this is something Doreen instills in everything she does both personally and professionally.
