Jackie currently work as People & Culture Business Partner to Retail ROI in Penneys. She gained her Degree in Business and HR from WIT and spent some time working in the US before travelling Asia and enjoying Australian life. She started her career in Penneys as a Trainee Manager and was promoted through several positions before spending several years as the HR Manager in a large Penneys store. She has always had a large interest in supporting colleagues to further their careers and strong passion to drive development. In 2014, she moved into the Central Retail People and Culture Team supporting Retail stores in ROI and the Group Retail Operations Team based in Head office Dublin. Her role is to support and partner with these teams by providing dedicated strategic and consultative advice, related to the people issues impacting their areas. Key for Jackie is coaching and developing Line Managers to build their skills and confidence to successfully lead their people. Developing trusted and strong relationships across the Primark business is crucial and the part of the job she enjoys most. She also enjoys Project Management and have been responsible for the roll out of major projects including New Stores and a large OD programme. She’s currently working on one of the biggest change programmes that the company have ever undertaken. She’s currently studying a CIPD Coaching and Mentoring Course at NCI and looking forward to putting the theory into practice.
