Hilary is an international development specialist with 10+ years of experience working with the United Nations. Having graduated as an Urban Planner, Hilary worked for several years in both urban planning and public policy research roles in Ireland before joining the UN in 2012. Since then, she has worked in Kenya, Iraq and Syria, where she is currently the Deputy Head of a UN agency working to address urban resilience and recovery needs in conflict affected cities. Hilary holds a BSc in Spatial Planning, MSc in Sustainable Development, PGDip in Security, Conflict and International Relations and a Diploma in Journalism. Hilary is keen to share her insights and offer meaningful support to other women who are in earlier stages of their career development.
